The voice in its differing,
unexpected and sudden shades, dominates a sign universe, in which faraway
melodies and ancient
calls
meet
contemporaneous
technologies
of composition;
weaving the
way
to
explore
the perception
territories
and
its processes.
Between construction and
dismantling, composition and instinct,
Romina Daniele performs the
tragedy of consciousness in an open comparison with the listener.
To
find the human awareness (by man on man), or the reasons for its absence.
Romina Daniele has
been working on her new album since 2009. The record will be released on
RDM Records,
with which she started a collaboration in January 2010.
The project
«Spannung», from the term with which Heidegger indicates the
opening, the space, the tension (and the yearning) of being in the
size of the authenticity of existence.
The size, never properly discussed, requires close and new
ways each time, away from clichés and intellect and compositional schemes.
In the concreteness and temporality of the human existence, the being
fighting is force itself: "tension of force itself." (J. Derrida).
At all levels of the conceptual and thinking, artistic, literary and
poetic, musical, composition, vocal and aesthetic work: not the
accomplishment but the opening, not the system nor its negation today
system itself, but the tension, is always action, force in action.

NOTES FROM THE
PRESS
«The voice and the sound are
so pure are so well performed
that literally take the
breath away.»
(M. Marchini)
«Romina
is able skinning the skin from the emotions until it comes to the bare
flesh, destabilizing the listener who will be undoubtedly marked by the experience.»
(L. Rapetti).
«Romina Daniele stands in front of the
audience stimulating it and creating fascinating and shivering sounds,
throwing the listener in a "lyrics-voice-music" spiral that oblige us
to confront with ourselves.»
(A. Arena)

[about
Aisthànomai, il Dramma della Coscienza]
Romina
Daniele has been awarded with the Demetrio Stratos International Award
and in her new album
we can notice not only a great vocal ability -
power and versatility – but a great talent interpreting the sense of
music and composing abilities as well. You can listen/read
‘Aisthànomai’ like a theoretical work, an organized anthology
and a poetical-musical form.
First, it is necessary to read
the booklet texts where the aesthetics topics are discussed. ‘Voice-Matter-Nature.
‘Electronics-Suond-Technique.
Language-Text-Concept’.
These are the territories in which
Aisthànomai takes shape… and
where my cognitive non-condition law is placed as an expressive aim freely
pursued.
In a second point of view, the
work offers a charming performance/interpretation.
The transfiguration of the
song form through the organic changing of the voice (Materia),
vocals-electronics assimilation (Echo, Vero Remake II),
the
dramatic experimentation on the text-vocals (Dix ans, vingt ans),
sound poetry (Vero Remake I) and the
total theatre-song (Poesis
I).
(...)
Finally, almost
in despite of her theoretic
will
(which can
enjoy the total fruition),
‘Aisthànomai’
is mainly a sensory experience (if not sensual) with the vibrating
woman body, into urgency (impact) of the reunification.
"I do not enjoy all the happiness, remember, it is divided in two
parts, and both include emptiness’, it seems Emily Dickinson. But it
is necessary to get into the voice labyrinth.
